Fees & Payments Policy
FeelGood Fibers is a community for fabric lovers to sell and buy fabric. To foster that community, we want to make our fees and payments policy as simple and as pain-free as possible. The seller pays 10% plus $.50 to FeelGood Fibers on each item sold and Stripe’s payment processing fee. There are no listing fees or other hidden costs.
By opening a shop on FeelGood Fibers, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Use.
FeelGood Fibers Payments
Payments from buyers and payouts to sellers are processed through Stripe which is the industry standard payment processing service used by major marketplaces like Etsy and Shopify because it’s trusted, user-friendly, and offers smooth, secure payouts.
All sellers will be required to create a Stripe Express account from their FeelGood Fiber’s Vendor Dashboard. With Stripe Express, everything happens directly on the site — it’s quick to set up and you won’t need to manage a separate Stripe account.
Payouts (Once an Order is Shipped and Completed)
Once an item has been sold, the seller will be required to mark the order as shipped by entering a tracking number. Then the order can be marked completed. At that point the seller’s payout will be transferred to their Stripe Express account. If the order contains products from multiple shops, there may be a short delay before the payment shows up in the sellers Stripe Express account. Payouts from the seller’s Stripe Express account to their bank account will happen once a week on Thursdays.
Types of Fees
Sellers are required to pay the following types of fees:
Commission Fees
FeelGood Fibers collects a fee of 10% plus $.50 on each item sold to cover site maintenance, infrastructure and growth initiatives.
Payment Processing Fees
Stripe is the default payment-processing vendor for all transactions. Stripe charges a payment-processing fee of approx. 2.9% plus $.30 per transaction.
Shipping Fees
As there are no explicit shipping costs for buyers, all shipping fees must be factored into the cost of the listing. Shipping fees can be estimated using USPS pricing guidelines.
Fee Avoidance
The goal of FeelGood Fibers is to create community. Any action taken by a seller to encourage buyers to purchase an item outside of the FeelGood Fibers venue is frowned upon. A transaction initiated on FeelGood Fibers should not be completed off FeelGood Fibers. Also, the price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the item’s price after a sale, misrepresent the item’s location, or use another user’s account without permission.
Paying Your FeelGood Fibers Fees
If there are any fees owed to FeelGood Fibers, they will be automatically deducted from the seller’s Stripe Express account.
Taxes
Sellers are responsible for paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through FeelGood Fibers’ services pending their individual filing status. Please consult with a tax professional to understand your specific tax obligations.
